During the final month of the year, Portland overflows with seasonal events and activities. This holiday season is filled with special shopping events, light displays and festivities; then ring in the New Year at one of the city’s many Jan. 31 events.

As the days grow darker, Portland glows with eye-popping Holiday Light Displays.

Packed with revelry and cheer, the five-day Holiday Ale Festival(always held the first week of December) features dozens of the Pacific Northwest’s best-tasting seasonal suds, many not available anywhere else. Held underneath a cozy, heated tent at Pioneer Courthouse Square, the Ale Festival invites local brewers to collaborate on special editions beers.

Character Research Anton Chigurh No country for Old men

Anton Chigurh, CHaracter Analysis About the Character Chigurh is a Hitman who is devoid of conscience, remorse, and compassion. He is described by Carson Wells, a central character in the novel, as a “psychopathic killer", in his 30s, with a dark complexion, and eyes as "blue as lapis... Like wet stones." His signature weapon is a captive bold stunner, which he uses to kill his victims and also as a tool to shoot out door locks. He also wields a semiautomatic shotgun and pistol. This particular shotgun was only introduced in 1987 despite the film taking place in 1980. Throughout both the novel and the film, Chigurh flips a coin to decide the fate of some of his victims. Oscar-winning hairstylist Paul LeBlanc designed the hairdo. The Coens instructed LeBlanc to create a "strange and unsettling" hairstyle. Sustainability. A choice or a Budget?

Sustainability- the ability to exist constantly, or so says Wikipedia. As I see it, sustenance is like the monthly grocery which is on a budget. We use as much as we need and hope it lasts us for the next twenty nine days. If the key to sustainability is a packet of sugar, we figure out a way to use it, so that it covers us for every cup of tea, that we will consume. But, of course some people can afford two packets of sugar and might pour, more per drink. But that's, a matter of choice and not budget. It's time we think about, the impacts of non biodegradable wastes, forests burning, global warming, excess usage of fossil fuels, and raise a question of- whether we are consuming fuels, to travel the distaces today, or waiting for the entire planet to turn to fossils tomorrow?
