Styling for Calendar; December

Raving streets of Portland; DECEMBER   During the final month of the year, Portland overflows with seasonal events and activities. This holiday season is filled with special shopping events, light displays and festivities; then ring in the New Year at one of the city’s many Jan. 31 events.  As the days grow darker, Portland glows with eye-popping Holiday Light Displays.  Packed with revelry and cheer, the five-day Holiday Ale Festival(always held the first week of December) features dozens of the Pacific Northwest’s best-tasting seasonal suds, many not available anywhere else. Held underneath a cozy, heated tent at Pioneer Courthouse Square, the Ale Festival invites local brewers to collaborate on special editions beers.  MOOD BOARD STYLE BOARD MODEL BOARD MAKEUP BOARD PHOTOGRAPHY BOARD FINAL LOOK BOARD

Magazine Cover, The good and The underwhelming

Vogue: Korea, July 2019  The Good: Vogue, July 2016 issue, featuring Kristen Stewart looks full of effort and thought. A lot has gone into the angle, lighting, and space orientations of this particular shoot. Even though the hair the skin color and makeup, nothing is in much contrast, yet the lighting is such that the whole point of a cover interaction with the audience is captivating. The jewelry, the ensemble of a luxury tribal feels organic and the angle screams indulgence. Vogue: India, December 2019 The underwhelming: This particular December 2019, Vogue issue, goes wrong, in terms of both photography and styling, the makeup (contour) is extremely harsh, the eyebrows very pointed and arched much to an evil side.  Even though it is a winter edit and ensemble, the styling looks like summer and the dull background and lighting looks wintery. A contrast not as soothing. The effort in terms of pose and model expressions looks out of place and vain.
