SELF PORTRAYAL

I don't choose between my Friends
Thinking of what represents me the most, something that I grew up with, something that I cannot let go! And for me it was always books, as it opened a world of possibilities for me. Hence a lot of my goals started shifting and I would rather say they started to form, when I began reading as a passion and not just a manndate of education and literacy! There is always a point in life where you believe the most in your own worth, and for me it arrives when I dive into words and a world of literature.
Reading not only led me to great literatures like Bronte Sisters, it also drove me to fashion magazines like VOGUE, Architectural Digest, very early on! I thought alot about which to highlight, the love for fashion and aesthetics or for books and scribbles? And I could not choose, therefore I started by writing, 'I don't choose between my friends!'
In the above image, there is my bubble of life, my notebook, which defines my goals, my books, my love for textiles and not to forget the VOGUE.  There is a piece of literature which talks about feminism and has also formed my opinions about religion and treatment of women in the same for years now. There is my handy mirror, one I always have in my bag, searching with a scrunchie around my wrist, as I go party hard with highlighter and makeup on point, writing poems about last night, with a pen!
The circular order in which the objects are arranged resonates to what encircles my life.
