Character Research Anton Chigurh No country for Old men

Anton Chigurh, CHaracter Analysis About the Character  Chigurh is a Hitman who is devoid of conscience, remorse, and compassion. He is described by Carson Wells, a central character in the novel, as a “psychopathic killer", in his 30s, with a dark complexion, and eyes as "blue as lapis... Like wet stones." His signature weapon is a captive bold stunner, which he uses to kill his victims and also as a tool to shoot out door locks. He also wields a semiautomatic shotgun and pistol. This particular shotgun was only introduced in 1987 despite the film taking place in 1980. Throughout both the novel and the film, Chigurh flips a coin to decide the fate of some of his victims. Oscar-winning hairstylist Paul LeBlanc designed the hairdo. The Coens instructed LeBlanc to create a "strange and unsettling" hairstyle. The actor supposedly said that he was "not going to get laid for two months" because of his haircut. Chigurh kills without compassion or remorse, bu...

H&M Conscious clothing, Advertisement Analysis

H&M Conscious: Sustainable Fashion through recycled clothes;  This commercial belongs to the idea where every individual is allowed to express themselves through clothing in any which way possible, but recycle them eventually.  The commercial goes through a series of multiple shots where each individual is dressed uniquely by the stylist, some absurd out-of-the-box looks, to few blend-worthy everyday fits. One sees these garments on H&M hangers and wonders to pair them up in multiple directions, some people hook on to the idea of subtlety, and some just jump the gun. The stylist has done a good job in terms of bringing out each and every personality on camera, you can actually see how each is so versatile and unique in terms of free-flowing hair, to a red-headed man, from a nude lip to fuchsia pink, from misfit ensembles to bold and sparky ones.  However, the multiple shot focus and prop usage like a transparent umbrella, or a dog has taken focus from what was bei...

Magazine Cover, The good and The underwhelming

Vogue: Korea, July 2019  The Good: Vogue, July 2016 issue, featuring Kristen Stewart looks full of effort and thought. A lot has gone into the angle, lighting, and space orientations of this particular shoot. Even though the hair the skin color and makeup, nothing is in much contrast, yet the lighting is such that the whole point of a cover interaction with the audience is captivating. The jewelry, the ensemble of a luxury tribal feels organic and the angle screams indulgence. Vogue: India, December 2019 The underwhelming: This particular December 2019, Vogue issue, goes wrong, in terms of both photography and styling, the makeup (contour) is extremely harsh, the eyebrows very pointed and arched much to an evil side.  Even though it is a winter edit and ensemble, the styling looks like summer and the dull background and lighting looks wintery. A contrast not as soothing. The effort in terms of pose and model expressions looks out of place and vain.

SELF POTRAYAL

SELF PORTRAYAL   I don't choose between my Friends Thinking of what represents me the most, something that I grew up with, something that I cannot let go! And for me it was always books, as it opened a world of possibilities for me. Hence a lot of my goals started shifting and I would rather say they started to form, when I began reading as a passion and not just a manndate of education and literacy! There is always a point in life where you believe the most in your own worth, and for me it arrives when I dive into words and a world of literature.  Reading not only led me to great literatures like Bronte Sisters, it also drove me to fashion magazines like VOGUE, Architectural Digest, very early on! I thought alot about which to highlight, the love for fashion and aesthetics or for books and scribbles? And I could not choose, therefore I started by writing, 'I don't choose between my friends!' In the above image, there is my bubble of life, my notebook, which defines my ...

Sustainability. A choice or a Budget?

Sustainability- the ability to exist constantly, or so says Wikipedia. As I see it, sustenance is like the monthly grocery which is on a budget. We use as much as we need and hope it lasts us for the next twenty nine days. If the key to sustainability is a packet of sugar, we figure out a way to use it, so that it covers us for every cup of tea, that we will consume. But, of course some people can afford two packets of sugar and might pour, more per drink. But that's, a matter of choice and not budget. It's time we think about, the impacts of non biodegradable wastes, forests burning, global warming, excess usage of fossil fuels, and raise a question of- whether we are consuming fuels, to travel the distaces today, or waiting for the entire planet to turn to fossils tomorrow? I think it's time to worry about what series of disasters, asking for a plastic bag would cause, just how we worry about our favourite series coming up on Netflix. Our prime concerns should...
